Most areas of the United States and Canada are susceptible to severe hailstorms and accompanying hail damage. When hailstones fall from the sky, their speed at impact can exceed 100 miles per hour – resulting in damage to property. However, there is a silver lining to that storm cloud: LP now offers a limited warranty that includes hail damage for residential and commercial structures with LP® SmartSide® Trim & Siding.
Hail Is No Match for LP®SmartSide®Trim & Siding Products
The industry-leading LP SmartSide 5/50 Limited Warranty is already one of the most competitive warranties on the market. Now, those who live in hail-prone locations have the additional peace of mind that LP SmartSide trim and siding are durable enough to stand up to hail. LP SmartSide products are warranted to resist damage from hail, up to 1.75 inches in diameter, when properly installed and maintained according to the LP application instructions. This limited warranty is good in the U.S. and Canada, and will be retroactive to January 1, 2017. Any installation on or after that date will have limited hail coverage.
The limited hail coverage is in addition to LP’s generous warranty coverage on materials and labor. LP SmartSide Trim & Siding come backed with:
A 5-year, 100% labor and replacement feature
A 50-year prorated, limited warranty on substrate
